The principle of the background suppression photoelectric switch is to use special technical means to distinguish and suppress the background stray light signal and the reflected light signal of the target object, thereby ensuring that only the presence of the target object is detected.
Background suppression photoelectric switches generally use infrared light (or other specific wavelengths) as the light source. Photoelectric switches usually consist of a light emitter and a receiver. The emitter emits a beam of infrared light, which is reflected and received by the receiver. When there is no target object, the photoelectric switch receives only background stray light signals. When a target object enters the detection range of the photoelectric switch, the target object will reflect part of the light, and this part of the reflected light will change the intensity of the light received by the receiver.
In order to achieve background suppression, photoelectric switches usually use one of the following methods:
Special filter: By selecting a specific filter, only light of a specific wavelength (such as infrared) can be passed through, thereby filtering out light of other wavelengths and reducing interference from background stray light.
Time window: By setting a specific time window, the photoelectric switch only receives the light signal reflected by the target object within this window, while ignoring the background stray light in other time periods.
Algorithm processing: Photoelectric switches can use some algorithms to process the received optical signals to distinguish background stray light signals from reflected light signals.
Through the application of the above method, the background suppression photoelectric switch can enable only the reflected light signal of the target object to be effectively received, thereby achieving reliable object detection and background interference suppression.
