The KJT_DXEW series temperature sensor is an integrated infrared temperature sensor. Working principle and precautions

a. Principle of infrared temperature measurement

Any object radiates infrared energy outwards, and the intensity of the radiation changes with changes in temperature. Infrared thermometers generally use infrared radiation energy with a wavelength in the range of 0.8μm-18μm.

Infrared temperature sensor is an optoelectronic sensor that receives infrared radiation and converts it into an electrical signal. It displays or outputs temperature through electronic circuit amplifier, linearization, and signal processing.

 

 

b. The maximum distance and size of the measured point.

The size of the measured target and the optical characteristics of the infrared thermometer determine the maximum distance between the measured target and the measuring head. In order to avoid measurement errors, the measured target should fill the field of view of the detector as much as possible. Therefore, the measured point should always be kept smaller than the measured object or at least the same size as the measured target.

c. ambient temperature

KJT-DXEW series infrared temperature sensors can work in the ambient temperature range of 0-60℃. Otherwise, please use a cooling jacket.

d. Lens cleaning

The lens of the instrument must be kept clean to avoid measurement errors or even damage to the lens caused by dust, smoke and other contaminants. If there is dust on the lens, wipe it with lens cleaning paper dipped in absolute alcohol.

In order to prevent electromagnetic interference, please ensure the following

The KJT-DXEW series metal shell has M18×1 thread, which can be used for direct installation or installation by using a mounting bracket. The adjustable mounting bracket can make the adjustment of the measuring head more convenient.

When adjusting the measured target and the measuring head, you must ensure that the light path is unobstructed.
