Safety light curtain is a photoelectric sensor used for safety protection of robots or automation equipment. The output method can be selected according to specific needs. The following are several common output methods:

1. NPN output (open-drain output): During normal operation, the output signal is high level (on-off state). When the grating is blocked, the output signal becomes low level (off state). This output method is suitable for systems that need to interface with other devices, such as PLC (programmable logic controller) and automation control systems.

2. PNP output (open source output): Contrary to NPN output, the output signal is low level during normal operation and high level when blocked. Similar to NPN output, PNP output is also suitable for systems that need to interface with other devices.

3. Safety relay output: The light grating is connected to the safety relay. When the light grating is blocked, the relay will cut off the power supply, thereby stopping the corresponding machine or equipment. This output method is suitable for systems with higher safety requirements, such as heavy machinery or high-risk environments.

4. Dual-channel fault output: In order to increase safety, the grating can have a dual-channel fault output function, that is, the output signal is divided into two channels. When one channel fails, the other channel can continue to work, ensuring the continuous operation of the system.

Choosing a suitable safety grating output method requires consideration of multiple factors, including system needs and constraints, safety requirements, device interface compatibility, etc. When choosing, it is recommended to refer to the product's technical specifications and related documents, and seek advice from professionals or suppliers based on the actual situation.
