There are four common application scenarios for Kejit laser ranging sensors: over-limit alarm system, anti-collision system, water injection system, and drainage system.




1. Over-limit alarm system


Set the allowable distance range. If the distance is not within this range, the relay outputs. Usually used for displacement over-limit alarm.


For example, if the laser sensor is fixed on a moving object, the allowed movement distance of the object is 2 meters to 5 meters. If it exceeds this range, an alarm signal (such as a horn, buzzer, etc.) will be output.

2. Anti-collision system


Set the minimum value of the distance. If the measured distance is less than this value, the relay outputs and performs the specified operation.


For example, if the laser sensor is fixed on a moving object, the closest distance between the object and another object is 5 meters. Below this distance, a relay signal needs to be given to prevent the two objects from colliding.

3. Water injection system


Used to add water to the pool and keep the water volume in the pool not lower than the minimum water level. Aim the laser sensor vertically at the water surface from top to bottom, and measure the distance from the sensor to the water surface. For example, install the sensor more than 5 meters above the water surface.


Assume that water is injected when the distance between the water surface and the sensor exceeds 5 meters, and water injection is stopped until the water surface rises to less than 2 meters from the sensor. When the water surface drops again to a distance of more than 5 meters from the sensor, water injection is started again.

4. Drainage system


Measure the distance from the sensor to the water surface. For example, install the sensor more than 5 meters above the water surface.


Assume that when the water surface is less than 2 meters from the sensor, water will be drained until the water surface drops to 5 meters away from the sensor. When the water level rises again and is less than 2 meters away from the sensor, drainage is started again.
